1. Buying Cheap Counterfeits
Quality wheels are costly, but counterfeits (cheap "domestic/Taiwan-made") are unsafe—they crack, deform, and may burst at high speed. Choose original steel/cast wheels if on a budget. Performance: Forged > Cast > Steel.
2. Wrong Wheel Selection
Wrong PCD stops installation; wrong ET affects use and future upgrades (e.g., brake upgrades may need new wheels, adding costs).
3. Improper Installation
Mismatched center bore (too small: no fit; too large: noise/vibration) risks safety. Enlarge if too small, use adapters if too large.
4. Pursuing Oversized Wheels
Big wheels look "top-heavy," need wider tires (slower acceleration, higher fuel use) and harm steering. They also cost more (plus tires).
