Most wheels of high-end cars are made of aluminum alloy. These wheels have an attractive appearance but are also quite delicate. To maintain their good looks, you must not only drive with extra care to prevent accidental damage to the wheels but also perform regular maintenance and upkeep on them. If you have time, a thorough cleaning should be done once a week.
1. Wash off the sand particles and dirt that adhere to the wheel surface and may cause damage to the wheels. Otherwise, the surface of the alloy will be corroded and damaged.
2. Treat the inner and outer surfaces of the wheels with acid-resistant cleaner. It is best to apply wax to the wheels once every 2 months, as this can extend their service life.
Note: To avoid damaging the protective layer on the wheel surface itself, do not use paint brighteners or other abrasive materials on the wheels. When the alloy protective paint is damaged—such as when there are scratches from hard objects during driving—the alloy wheels should be repaired and repainted as soon as possible. This is best done at a professional repair shop.
